Brynn Douglas thought being invited into the Urban Mystic Academy would finally explain why she had always felt different.

She was wrong.

It only revealed how much she didn’t know.

After surviving her first project, Brynn returns to the secret world of the UMAs with stronger friendships, growing powers, and the dangerous realization that magic has consequences. This time, the assignment is simple to describe and nearly impossible to survive:

A powerful enemy is using magic to reach across time, and the past is becoming terrifyingly real. Witches are being hunted. Friends are in danger. And the gifts Brynn and her fellow UMAs once struggled to understand may be the only thing standing between them and disaster.

As the UMAs combine their powers and race to stop the darkness spreading through the portal, Brynn begins to suspect the greatest threat may already be among them. Someone has infiltrated their ranks, and trusting the wrong person could cost them far more than graduation.
