Hi. Thank you for taking a look at the Pirate Queen Series. I hope your interest in the mystery and intrigue of medieval Ireland has brought you to this site. I wrote Bohermore after travelling to Ireland many times and becoming fascinated with its ancient history. My connection to the O'Malley Clan runs deep in my veins and inspired the tales within these pages.
In my junior year at University of Rhode Island, I studied abroad in Ireland at National University Ireland, Galway, NUIG, and my love affair with the Emerald Isle began immediately. I met my 'later to be' husband at that time, in a pub of course, and we explored the castles and hills together with equal fondness and allure. We now live in Massachusetts with our four children and two dogs, but I am continually drawn back to the 'Old Country' in every way.
After receiving my Master of Education degree from University of Massachusetts, I became a high school guidance counselor in MA and am most happy when working with teens to help them navigate the high speed roller coaster of adolescence and life in the 21st century.
The many hats I wear include my writer's tweed cap, my school counselor crash helmet, my yoga teacher headband, my surf diva hoodie for the chilly Northeast swells and my motherly bonnet for my fab children four, but hidden beneath them all is my daisy chain halo that adorns my soul from the crown of my head. The tiara, well, I save that for my rockin' tweener princess.
